While Spurs fans fumed at the club branding their home ground as the 'home of NFL' on Saturday, hosting events such as these is a big money-spinner for the north London outfit. That, and more, helps fund their billion pound stadium and without occasions like these, they may not be as financially sound.
Both 27-year-old Taylor and 59-year-old Postecoglou have links to Melbourne, Australia, as the former was born there and the latter spent almost the entirety of his playing career — and many years as a manager — at South Melbourne FC.
After this match, Postecoglou will be focusing on his Tottenham team returning to winning ways — following their 3-2 loss to Brighton last time out — when they host London rivals West Ham next Saturday.
